# Archive a template

> Stops a template from issuing new passes.

Archiving hides the template and blocks new passes from it. Passes already issued keep working and can still be updated. Archiving an archived template does nothing.

### Response

Returns the [template](/api-reference/templates/get) with `archived` set to `true`.
